Last night, I was suffering from severe toothache, and the most horrible part of suffering was I could not do anything except bearing the aching with all patience I have. In the condition of just bearing and still having patience, I realized, this is what just about every Pakistani doing from preceding 5 years. From last 5 years, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is being governed, better to say democratically governed, by some impossible sort of politicians who do know nothing except corruption on the title of politics. Pakistanis are as helpless as a patient of toothache is; cannot do anything except bearing what one is suffering from. As toothache distresses veins, eyes and some cases even brain, they have ruined the Pakistan’s economy, establishment, industry and every possible asset we can think of.
I do except the fact, that we bring these corrupts into the senate and assemblies. It is aftermath, or better to say aftershock, of our own wrong selection. This government is our own blunder that everyone dearly wishes could not made ever again in Pakistan. The point to ponder here is do we fulfill our all responsibilities towards our country just casting vote to the right candidate?
As we all know, prevention from toothache take little more than brushing the teeth twice a day. In same fashion, choosing the right government is take little more than casting votes. That little is little awareness and education about what the power of vote actually is.
Would not Pakistan be even beautiful, peaceful, pain free place to live if every one of us just have faith in Almighty Allah for food (as He promised to feed to everyone on this globe and beyond), and start struggling to be educated peaceful Pakistani ? Let us take a pledge to make some quality decisions at the time of casting vote by educating ourselves about responsibilities of a voter, so no other shameless smiling face will ever be able to rule and ruin our beloved homeland.
(Please let me know the in what ways, in your opinion, we can make better decision while casting vote)
It has not been more than a week Muslims had observed festive of Eid – ul – Fitr all round the world. Eid ul Fitr is holiest of all Islāmic festivals for Muslims. It is said to be feast from the Almighty as the gift of fasting in whole Ramadan. In whole world, Eid is celebrated with respect, love and joy. It is taken as one of the best times when you can share your love, affection and joy with others. Including Pakistan, in all other Muslims and non Muslim countries; Eid ul Fitr is celebration of blessings, harmony and love. But this year, in Pakistan, Eid was not a celebration because more than half of the country is sobbing in flood and millions of Pakistanis are homeless and displaced.
Pakistan is home land of almost 174 million people with majority of Muslims. This homeland of 174 million is in flood for more than 3 months. Flood has sunk more than half of Pakistan from Punjab to Khyber Pakhtonkhwa and from Baluchistan to Sind. The flood has not stopped yet. It is moving forward in different region of Sind leaving hundreds homeless and damaging crops and homes of thousands. This year on Eid – ul – Fitr 2010, Pakistan is on the same edge where it was 63 years back on Eid – ul – Fitr 1947.
Pakistan got independence on August 14, 1947. According to lunar calendar the day Pakistan came into being was Ramadan 27, just a couple of days before Eid – ul – Fitr 1947. Then people were homeless just had migrated and were migrating from their homes to their new homelands. Now, people are homeless and shelter less, miles away from their homes in relief camps and open grounds. Then many had lost their lives in riots and relocation. Now, many had lost their lives in flood and aftermath diseases. Then many had missed their families and loved ones during migration and relocation. Now, many had missed their family members and relatives due to water everywhere.
Pakistanis come back on the same edge where it was on 1947. People are homeless with no shelter. There is no food to eat and no water to drink. No place to live and no medicines to cure from diseases. Conditions are same in Pakistan in 2010 as it were in 1947. But there is something that differs extensively today from then. That thing is leadership. Unlike today, people do rely on their leaders and leaders work with heart and soul for betterment of their people. That time there were not as much funds as government had today, but still, leaders were more interested in giving their people a shelter not in making mansion for themselves.
As Napoleon used to say, Great ambition is the passion of great characters. Leaders of that time, unlike of today, were more willing for their people than their own interests. At the times hardships and difficulties leadership matters more to nation than anything else. Leaders are nation’s hope of survival. But today, Pakistan has no leader who could be their hope. They all are the on the mercy of Almighty. Today, all those who are supposed to be leader of this nation are busy is filling their own pockets and building their own mansions.
For nations, in good times and bad, leaders matter. Leaders and their leadership matters to nations more than fund and aids. It is leadership that makes nations most of what they are and it is leadership that is missing most in Pakistan today.
By means of this blog I plea those who called themselves leaders to act as leaders not as wolves. By means of this blog, I also plea my people to vote for those who deserve a mandate, before casting your vote use your mind, use your eyes, use your ears not your hearts and sympathy. If you do not think anyone worth your vote then it is better to not to cast the vote than casting to a wrong person. If we want our leaders to be responsible with us then we have to be responsible with our decisions.

School, collages and universities, all around Pakistan would remain close a week from October 21, 2009 to October 26, 2009. Holidays always bring cheers and joy to students but this time it brought terror and panic, the panic of being a victim of terrorism. Terrorism has shocked Pakistan this October very badly. Figure of the killed in these terrorist attacks has been raised to 180 (according to BBC reports). It made worst and horrible impressions on students specially. Two bomb blasts at IIUI Pakistan, shocked every student of Pakistan not only IIUI-ians.
Real threat is not that these terrorists are going to kill us; real hazard is that they are making us be deficient in unity, morals and education. Pakistani students, in this high-speed era, lack behind seven days. Today, when every second matters in the world of science technology and education we – the Pakistani students – have missed a trillion billions seconds.
Students, as Quaid –e- Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah used to say, are the future of Pakistan. And this future is left behind to face ignorance, panic and terror. Militants real targets is not our bodies, they want to aim our minds, our unity, our moral values and above all Pakistani sovereignty. This is not a war; it’s a fight for your morals and for your country. They are not only killing us, they are making us mentally paralysed. Militants’ and terrorists’ and radicals’ appetite is not blood and mass, it’s the thoughts and morals that can make Pakistan more flourish.
Pakistan is not just an area with planes, trees, hilly sides and water falls; it is a Motherland. This does not belong to those politicians who come and go before seasons change and not those who; in the hard times, packed there bags, rushed to embassies, get the visas stamped and fly overseas. It belongs to those who suffer and survive of it, it belongs to those to get hurt and die for it. It belongs to us!
We can make it more flourish and more prosper only when we are educated. As Quaid –e- Azam advised students, “Let me give you this word of warning: you’ll be making greatest mistake if you allow yourself to be exploited by one political party or another… Your main occupation should be – in fairness to yourself, in fairness to your parents, in fairness to the State – to devote your studies.” – (Addressed at Public Meeting Dacca, March 21, 1948).
Do not let yourself be a victim. Real threat is not to our bodies, it is to our mind, thoughts and thinking. This threat is to everything which can do some good to Pakistan. Educate yourself, be aware to danger be familiar with real armour. Education is main power. Get it and go for it. Let the education work to fertile your minds not only enhance your resumes and heavy you pockets. Be aware to real dangers. They can remove our bodies but they can remove the thinking and morals.
Do educate yourself, not only in technology but other fields as well, because now, it is a matter of honour, the honour of Sabz Hilali Parcham (Pakistani Flag). Be aware and do not let anyone to play your morals. Real targets are not bodies; actual targets are morals and unity of Pakistan. May be at some point we belong to different religions, races, colors and culture but above all we belongs to one Motherland – PAKISTAN…!!!
Mouj Barhe ya aandhi aaye diya jalaye rakhna hai
Ghar ki khatir so dukh jheilein Ghar ti aakhir apna hai
Going all the way through life and times of Mohammad Ali Jinnah, I observed that Jinnah was a very simple man. He followed straightforward principles in every walk of life. Unity, faith and discipline are the three words which made Jinnah Quaid –e- Azam. It is blueprint of success which he shared with his nation himself. Unity, Faith and Discipline is the shortest possible distance between dream and its reality.
These three words – three magical words – have success hidden in it. If we follow this we do not have to beg for any aid. We do not have to go to anyone to make Pakistan better. We all want betterment of Pakistan then why we not work for it with unity. Why we keep on combating as Sindhi, Punjabi, Baloch, Pathan and Muhajir. We all are hard workers then why we not have faith on each other. Why we just keep on blaming our fellows for any hard luck. We know what we have to do then why we not do that we discipline. Why we just keep on breaking rules and laws.
It is fruitless to blame government for everything wrong. It is our country and we have to make it better than the rest then better than the best. To craft a change we have to follow the way which Quaid showed us. We have to follow his principles to compose and rebuild Pakistan. It is three, just THREE word – Unity, Faith and Discipline.
With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.
– Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
After Miandad’s six and world cup ’92, we have another success story to be told, another event to feel proud of. In ICC World Twenty20 England ’09, men in green made history at Lords by winning trophy against Sri Lanka on June 18, 2009. At the moment Pakistan was announced as the champion of the series the whole surroundings were filled with noises of firecrackers and drums, people were dancing and doing bangra on the streets and the slogan of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ was echoing in the air.
The land of Pakistan has witnessed this enthusiasm after a thick slice of time. Pakistan national cricket team has brought a trophy back home after 17 years. In the world of sports Pakistan seems on its way to recoup its glorious name and reputation which was in early 90’s.
We all know that winning is not everything but losing is not option as well. Something that matters to nation is how team played, how united team was, how team was good at forgetting all differences and playing as one for all and all for one. And history proves that every time team stayed and played united, every time team added something extraordinary in the history of cricket.
Pakistan national cricket team is a paradigm for all those who look for their career and future in cricket. Team must set examples for all the youth that Pakistan can stand only when we unite. Our nation is one of those for who cricket is not just a game; it is matter of honour and dignity. We see our players not as merely cricketers but as heroes.
After so many misfortunes, miserable incidents, accidents and blames on the pure name of Pakistan, Pakistanis see this victory as a optimism to bring back the dignity of Pakistan.
May Almighty keep the flag of my country high.
Khuda karey meri dua us arz -e- pak pe uterey
